Fund A Dream

When students are connected to programs, activities, and sports outside of school they do better in school. They connect to something that sparks and inspires them to explore, to try hard things, and to persevere. They develop connections with peers and caring adults and they feel valued and have a sense of belonging.

We believe these opportunities are the X Factor — the extras that help a Panther become fully a Panther.

We want this for each Panther in the SLP Community. However, barriers like cost, access and other roadblocks stand in the way. This Fund A Dream will invest in knocking down those roadblocks and expanding access to extraordinary experiences outside of the school day that excite young people and help them excel as a student and as a person.

This funding will support initiatives including:

• seed funding for new emerging student interest clubs and activities
• expanding experiences to all grade levels that help students discover their spark - from dance to soccer, arts, robotics, service clubs and more
• providing resources to help cover fees and equipment for experiences in our community that help create the Panthers of the future
• financial support for unique and rare opportunities, such as national and international competitions that provide life-long memories
